Powered by OVH
Kimsufi servers are built on the expertise of OVH - the number 1 internet hosting provider in Europe and number 3 globally* - with over 170,000 physical servers. OVH has built its success on total control of the hosting chain, including in-house server production on our OVH production lines. The company is recognized for paying special attention to choice and global suppliers, such as Intel as AMD.

A rigorous verification procedure
In order to provide our customers with quality servers, every Kimsufi machine undergoes a series of technical compliance and performance tests, under all possible conditions. Prior to delivery, a robot verifies that the hardware matches what the customer has ordered and that its performance meets the specifications.
We will check:
The processors (compliance, load test, temperature)
The RAM (size, memtest)
The BIOS (BIOS version, virtualization)
The disks (speed, S.M.A.R.T, firmware version, etc.)
If an error is detected, one of our technicians will intervene on the machine to replace the faulty hardware.
Hardware guaranteed for life
If your Kimsufi server goes down, you will automatically receive an email stating the time that the incident was detected. Our technicians are on site in our data centers 24/7 and will take control of the machine and launch the diagnostic. We will keep you informed and updated you when we start working on your server. We will send you a full report as soon as the incident has been resolved.
Distributions and solutions
With Kimsufi, you benefit from a wide selection of distributions. These operating systems can be installed on your server and are regularly updated.
OVH uRelease *;
*OVH uRelease: The current operating system is based on the Ubuntu open-source software modified by OVH in order to ensure compatibility between the server’s physical components and this distribution. Ubuntu is a Canonical registered trademark.
**Distribution not compatible with all server ranges
Kimsufi offers you the main distributions on the market along with graphical user interfaces so that you can manage your server in just a few clicks instead of using command lines.
**licence not included and not sold by Kimsufi.
You can install multiple operating systems on your Kimsufi server and use a hypervisor to manage them. Move away from the typical "one application per server" and run your machine at full capacity.
*Intel-VT combatibility necessary (not available on Intel Atom).
Online storage and sharing
Kimsufi servers benefit from anti-DDoS protection deployed throughout the entire OVH network.
A distributed denial of service attack, or DDoS, is an attempt to make a server unavailable by flooding it with simultaneous queries sent from multiple sources. This massive attack affects the machine’s stability and makes it inaccessible.
Your Kimsufi server includes unlimited free mitigation enabled 24/7 to combat this type of malicious cyber-attack and lessen its impact on your services.
A solution to:
- analyse all packets in real time and at high speed
- vacuum your server's incoming traffic
- filter illegitimate IP packets and let legitimate packets through

A global fiber optic network
Kimsufi servers benefit from the OVH global fiber optic network. No matter where you are when you access your Kimsufi server, this infrastructure, with 33 points of presence (PoPs) spread across Europe, Asia and North America, guarantees you high bandwidth and optimum latency.
The OVH network uses active DWDM and has been migrated to 100G coherent technology. It thus offers you a total capacity of 3 Tbps to the worldwide web.
99.9% network SLA
The routing infrastructure is largely built on devices of Cisco, which is linked to OVH by a technical partnership, which combines the expertise of the two companies.
Each set of links is fully redundant and is replicated at least twice. The fiber optic links are doubled (diversity) or even tripled (triversity), and 2 Cisco routers, each equipped with 2 routing cards, physically connect your Kimsufi machines to the internet.
